ADDVOCABULA




1. Accost (verb) - to approach and speak to, especially in an unfriendly way. 

2. Billet (noun) - a private house where soldiers are given food and lodging. 

3. Backer (noun) - a person who supports someone or something, especially with money. 

4. Debonair (adjective) - (of a man) confident, stylish and charming. 

5. Daunt (verb) - to make someone lose courage or confidence. 

6. Fife (noun) - a type of a small flute. 

7. Kaftan (noun) - a type of a long flowing dress or robe sometimes brightly colored. 

8. Keel over - to fall over usually suddenly or unexpectedly eg:to keel over in pain. 

9. Peckish (adjective) - rather hungry : I feel a bit peckish
