The Weavers 2010

….”And hereby I declare The Weavers-2010 open”. These were the words by our respective
Vice Chancellor for which we all were waiting for.

New FET, Old FET, Ground-The whole campus was drained in the celebration of E-day.

The day was started with software, hardware, Informal, literary and cultural events taking
simultaneously in the campus.

Coming to the technical aspects of the day, students grabbed the opportunity to test their skills
in the software area by participating in the events like Play-Station, Web-Oracle, Mystifier etc.
Blind C had the maximum no of entries which was an event of programming in C with computer
screens switched off. On one hand the hardware events like PCB Express, Junkyard Wars, Green
Villa, Cheater Cock etc. attracted the students’ attention, there on the other hand event like
DIGI-DEXTER was called off due to the absence of the heads of the event and unavailability of
the keys of the DIGI-LAB!!

Many of us thoroughly enjoyed in the informal events like Coffin Break, The Hussein effect,
Balloon Fiesta and The Kite Runner. And some students turned into vendors trying to price their
meal all day long for the society-KARUNA.

Students having an inclination for literature had a scope to play with words in the literary
events like DO Maskhare, Thoughts Posted, Rapid Fun etc. Students exercised their poetry skills
in Versed in Words. But, event like Jam Session and Deewn-e-aam could not take place due to
less turn ups.

The cultural shades of the E-day were vibrant enough to add up to the enthusiasm of the
day. Team AAWAAZ took hold of the first place by succeeding in conveying their message.
Dance events like FOOTLOOSE, RAZZLE DAZZLE, TWO STEPS, ANHATTA etc. left the audience
foot-tapping on the music notes and even the faculty members couldn’t resist the beats and
showed us their moves. Even for the non-dancers, we had events like Pappu Can’t Dance
where our college Munni was tagged. Mrignaini, a classical dance event showed us the face
of our enriched cultural dance heritage. The day also witnessed some singing stars and their
melodious voices in the musical events like Harmonize which even carved out the hidden
singers among the faculty like Nigam Sir and Kirti Ma’am.

The funny expressions and moments of the day were captured in the event-SNAPSHOTS which

filled the air with giggles.

The deserving students who bagged some or the other prize in the above mentioned events
were awarded with certificates.

Succeeding it took place the most awaited event of E-day i.e. Fashion Show-“THE MUSE”.
This time the trendy minds of our college showed the glimpse of international fashion which
included the Indian beauties in the Indian round and stunning beauties from Greek culture,
Country side, European, Hawaiian and Paris fashion trends. It was enormously applauded.

With the winding up of the fashion show, the management celebrated the grand success of
E-day with cheers. And to match up to the mood of the ambience, DJ party rocked the dance
floor!!
